Friends of Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Field



Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Field was the first park in the London Borough of Merton to win the Green Flag award in 2007. It won the award again in 2008, 2009 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016!

The Friends have helped raise an amazing 86,000 so far to help improve the park. Our many achievements include:

The Friends have also organised spring bulb planting, enabled new seating and fencing to be installed and more. We hold special Community Open Days in the park when everyone can celebrate our successes.
